There are a few important factors that are considered in determining whether any patient is a candidate for laser vision correction:
Eye prescription (refractive error): Every patient has a computerized prescription. LASIK allows the correction of very low to extremely high levels of nearsightedness, astigmatism, or farsightedness. However, even if your prescription falls within the limits of the LASIK procedure, a patient is not necessarily a good candidate, which is why the doctors at Global Laser Vision perform the following additional tests as needed.
